Tell her to get her masters and be an NP. Lots more money!

I'm sure she's already congratulated herself on Facebook. That's part of becoming a nurse in 2018.

And you wanted to fight a physician for being an a-hole? Is this your first encounter with an a-hole physician?

quote:I said I wanted to give him a lashing....In my world, that means verbally give someone a piece of your mind, not fight them. I could have specifically said tongue lashing, but I assumed people didnt think I carried a whip around with me

quote:No, but it was the most over the line and disrespectful I have ever seen someone be to another co-worker. I was in there to observe due to complaints. He was fired, but I wanted to let him hear it besides just writing my report. But I was restrained.

Im not so sure why this sounds unbelievable. An auditor getting angry at a man who had multiple complaints calling an older woman a count in the workplace made me very angry to where I wanted to scream at him

The word “restrain” makes it seem like you wanted to be physical.
What type of “auditor” are you? Compliance?

quote:Nah, internal. I am a CPA by trade, but we do operational audits that can take us into the clinical side of things searching for control gaps and such. Last year, due to the #metoo movement, we were asked to do an audit around harassment/controls etc

Internal audit and compliance can kind of get blended to be honest. Only difference is we are independent of the process and focus more on controls instead of outcomes
quote:I didnt mean to make it sound that way. I am smart enough to not to that. But I absolutely wanted to let that guy hear it. There is being a typical a-hole, and being someone who just tries to almost dehumanize individuals.

Gotcha, my experience/knowledge is more from the traditional compliance viewpoint, rather than the financial aspect.

For sure, and that makes more sense than what I initially interpreted from your comment.
