OP, did we “give” Iran any of OUR money, or did we return THEIR money to them?

In other words, did the money sent to Iran come out of the federal budget or affect the federal budget in any way? If not, how is the first relevant to the second in any way whatsoever!

I am NOT asking whether we SHOULD have sent ANY money. That is an entirely different discussion.

Whose money was it? Simple question.

Did we have a special account for Iran’s 5.7 billion? Where do you think that was being held, if so? Was it interest bearing? Explain your ridiculous notion further please.

Our money, their money, it is of little consequence. You do not give billions and billions of dollars to number 1a when it comes to state-sponsored terrorists. But that is exactly what that limp-wristed, slack-jawed, Muslim loving fig did.

AggieHank86, you do realize this is a financial war, right? In any war that you can think of in history, do the victors go back and replace everything lost, broken, or destroyed? This is the same thing with the sanctions, it's a financial war. You dont capture the enemies weapons, in this case their money that funds terrorism, and then just give it back to them so they can turn around and attack you with it. Nothing is fair in war.

As far as the 1.7 billion for military equipment that we never paid, do you know all the details of the agreement? Maybe we sold it to them with the condition they stop acting like terrorist fools. There could be many stipulations that breached that agreement. But even if not, we're now in a financial war so defer to the first point.
