Ratatouille is mid tier Pixar, but it is superior to the Fox and the Hound. It’s definitely the most overrated Disney film by this board. It’s just ok.

This is where the while difference of opinions thing comes in.

In no way do I find Ratatouille to be Superior to the Fox and the Hound. In any way.

Ratatouille's two main characters are almost completely unlikable to me, one being a giant idiot. On the other hand, I absolutely love Tod and Copper.

And Ratatouille was so ridiculously over the top. Remy pulling ol boys hair inside his hat controlling his arm movements was just too much.

Friendship, obviously, is a big theme for both movies, and the Fox and the Hound pulls it off much better. One makes you cry, and one makes you want to punch a kid in the face, I'll take the one that makes me cry.

It has been a solid 15 years since I've seen the Fox and the Hound, and there is definitely nostalgia there, but nostalgia isn't the determining factor for me. Fox and the Hound is just a better movie.
