When the regular season ends December 30th will we know when the Saints will play if we have a first round bye on that day? Or will we have to wait until after the wild card games are played to see if we play Saturday January 12 or Sunday January 13? Thanks guys

I think we will have to wait until the divisional matchups are determined before time slots are assigned.

But will the date be known the day after the regular season ends?

Nope. There will be 1 NFC Game and 1 AFC Game on both Saturday and Sunday. We won't know which day the Saints will play when the regular season ends.

Ok, so we won't know the dates and time of the divisional round games until after the wild card games are played?

The Cowboys will play their divisional game (2nd round) on Sunday if they are still alive because of their massive fan base and the fact that Sunday games always have far more viewers.

Whoever gets Cowboys (Rams or Saints) will host the Sunday game on Fox with the great Joe Buck on the call.

#1 plays the lowest seed still left and #2 plays the 2nd lowest seed still left after wild card weekend decides who is left

They release the Wild Card schedule and the Divisional round host schedule all at once I’m pretty sure.

I understand that. Just didn't know if we will have to find out after wild card games are played to see when the Saints will play.

the last few seasons they've announced the divisional playoff schedule at the same time as the wild card schedule

so we should know late Sunday of week 17 when the Saints divisional game would be (when we wrap up a top 2 seed)

well how else will you know who is still in the playoffs and who are the lowest seeds

hell they havent even decided how is the most likely team to get the wild cards yet

you most likely wont know who the likely suspects are, depending who wins which wild card playoff games, that we will be matched with until after the last game of the season

This is correct. Unless something changed from last year, the divisional round host date and times are announced with the wild card schedule Sunday evening of week 17.

Correct because certain network will have first dibs on what game they want
And they will pick their game for the slot of the day they have I think
