One could easily say the expectations were only so low because of 0, which allowed him to get a good coaching grade for beating the low expectations that he himself was responsible for.
It's pretty easy to twist without thinking too hard.
But feel free to pound your chest about a 9-3 finish.

Their talking points will be that our expectations were too low and LSU fans are settling.
Now we all know that all offseason they ran the program down, predicted less than 8 wins and pointed out how we were forecasted to be 6th in the West and how low O was rated.

With anything that resembled a competent offense LSU would be 11-1 or maybe 12-0 in the regular season. And that’s why the grade is to high.

He had a good year and somehow managed to beat Georgia.
That being said, he again looked inept against Alabama and it doesn't even look like we are close to their level.
A- to B is fair because he exceeded expectations, but the expectations were set low for a reason.
