No organization is as successful as it could be without clearly defined roles. From a management / coaching perspective, it's difficult to demand accountability and it creates a lack of trust / understanding that person's role by the rest of the team. Alabama sells a clear role / career path. Hey, come to LSU and support The Boot, you can do some of this and some that. That's very Miles-ish (Skyler Green and Russell Shepard).

Michael Clayton played WR and Safety at LSU under Nick Saban. I guess you didn’t know that.

Exactly they can find someone else to recruit. If he really is just keeping LSU as a backup plan recruit someone else.

I don't remember this and don't think it's true.

Saban did, however move Josh Reed from running back to WR, Marcus Spears from TE to DE and Corey Webster from WR to corner.

And I agree with your sentiment that Saban will move guys to positions that better fit their skills and team needs once he gets them to campus. Watch how long Christian Harris stays at LB.

As for Clayton, he was recruited as a WR and played a big role his freshman year. Can't say I recall any safety in his time at LSU other than maybe against hail marys.

He dIdnt play much safety at LSU. he played in the cotton Bowl when Roy Williams was abusing us but that’s the only time I recall him playing DB.

My god. Is this a thread to shite on a recruit were likely to land? Y’all have such catastrophe syndrome that y’all automatically think this kid wants to go to Bama. What has he done to show you guys that he loves Bama and is settling for LSU?

He’s visited LSU more than any other school. He’s attended LSU camps, not Bamas. What the hell is he suppose to do? He’s taking his time with the recruiting process. It’s a huge decision for him.

If I remember correctly we were pretty thin on options for that game, too.

I know all this seems pretty suspicious considering he's from Amite with some Alabama influencers from that area. Though I have a lot of confidence that Lee is a LSU lean regardless of if Alabama has a spot or not.
His family has really taken a liking to Coach O and the staff. They are really making a positive impact in Amite with the community.

Think you guys should try to see this kid in a more positive light. I don't buy for a second hes just "waiting for a Bama spot" If Alabama did have a spot for him he still would wait till NSD to make an announcement.

This isn't the same case as with the Sopsher recruitment, because despite the headway LSU has made with Sopsher, he will be Alabama bound as of now.
I never thought I would have said this about 3-4 months ago with Lee. Just goes to show that recruiting is extremely fluid

I'd rather have a player who wants to be LSU.

That's because its not looking like he'll have a spot at Bama right now.

I can’t believe LSU is willing to wait until signing day for this guy to pull the rug and grey shirt at bama or something like that.

If he doesn’t truly want to be at LSU over bama, then cut him off.
This. This is catastrophe syndrome.

Has it occurred to you that maybe he’s not 100% sure and wanted to wait until his season is over to evaluate his options and make the best decision for him?

Leonard Fournette waited until January to decide between LSU and Bama. Should the coaches should have just moved on from him?

What about Derrius Guice, Klavon Chassion, Sam Montgomery, Jacob Phillips, Kris Fulton, Jamal Adams or Kendall Beckwith?

Is this your first year ever following recruiting?

Where did he ever say that he doesn’t want to be at LSU?

All of his actions have pointed to him wanting to be at LSU except for some middle aged men on a message board that are upset because he said he doesn’t know where he wants to go yet.

Man, wake up. He has said it 1000 times according to third person people who knew someone once who new a barber in Amite and then gave a direct 3rd person 7th removed quote from the kid saying just that on the Internet so it has to be fact..
Man, I don't give a shite where he wants to go right now. I care about where he signs on the line and I don't care why he signs on that line if it is to LSU and neither should any of the so called fans and recruiting experts on this site. If you asked every highschool Freshman in the country where they want to play college what do you think the percentage will be that say Bama. They are a machine and who doesn't want to play for a winner, but the fact is everyone can't and you know what, getting the second best player in the country any year at any position is pretty freaking great even if the best player in the country took his spot at his first choice. Thinking otherwise is basically idiotic, a recipe for failure, and par for this board.

This may be true, but it seems to me that if he is scorned by Bama, he will do everything in his power to make them pay for passing him over.

Do you feel the same way about Chaisson /Delpit(Texas), Phillips/Stevens(Tenn), Brennan(Miss), etc?...

...Or what about our most recent QB commit Max Johnson? Do you think he should stay home and rep his state or come play for LSU?

I’ve literally had arguments with guys on this board that say we shouldn’t take Ish Sospher because he has flirted with Bama but instead we should take some 3*’s that want to be tigers.

I can’t imagine wanting LSU to not land the number 1 defensive tackle in the country.
