Come on why is Briles potentially ok to be hired at UT but doesn’t get a sniff at LSU?

Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin on sports talk said that Kendall Briles would make a great OC at Tennessee. Briles worked 1 year for Kiffin at Florida Athletic. Briles is at Houston. Coached at Baylor for 9 years. Kiffin praised Briles play calling ability

If this actually happens, I throw my hands up.

I just don’t get why LSU has an aversion to offense. I just don’t get it.

At this point the aversion to cutting edge offense is institutional...the directives to not have one must come down from the top.

I don’t know if this is sarcasm or not lol. But if not I must say, that was 72 points in 7 OTs lol

Great. So as long as LSU has to go 25 yards to score, we’re good to go. Someone notify the SEC.

When your offense ranks in the bottom 1/4th of nearly every offensive category

A) why is there not an opening?
B) if not for our exceptional defense & Special teams, we don't bowl either

Optics. As bad as you think LSU did this year they came in at #11 and are playing in NY6 bowl. Running coaches off every year has very bad optics to other potential coaches.

Right now we do not have a spot open so why would we be interviewing somebody? Duhhh. Also would be very bad to run your OC off BEFORE signing day... the guy who has three 4* QB's committed for the next 2 yrs.

Hey, I thought the O sucked this year too but I saw the poorest OL performance I have seen in the last 18 yrs at LSU, the least effective RB's, and a total overhaul in the WR corps. E had more to work with two yrs ago when he was interim.

For once, I detected the sarcasm, but seems that others didn't.

I'm with you, Covington, with regards to offense, Orgeron and Ensminger are of the EXACT same mold as Les Miles. They consider punting late in the 4th more appropriate than actually throwing for a first down.

That offense sucked as well. Missouri had its worst defense in history. Florida and Alabama found it extremely easy to defend.
