How does sitting out a bowl game equate to making a decision for his family?

Do they get money from day one from the agents? Then I guess I get it ...

But the NFL contracts are non guaranteed money, . Does he sit out at practice ???

He currently has insurance for sure, guess can’t do anything about it .. day and age we live in

Do you really not understand? His signing bonus as a first round draft choice is absolutely guaranteed money--money he risks losing playing a meaningless game should he get hurt and his draft stock fall.

Look man, if he plays in the bowl he’ll most likely tear his acl and he will only sign for a few million.

He’ll never recover to play in the nfl again and for some reason won’t be able to raise a child on that chump change.

You better not question him either you POS!!!

Ask Dallas Cowboy LB Smith from Notre Dame how playing in the bowl worked out for him..... Solid top 5 pick and Dallas used like a 5 or 6 on him

Or a 2, same thing though right. He also said he’d make the same decision to play again so there’s that. And guess what, he’s going to be s pro bowler and sign a huge contract in a year. I think he’ll be plenty rich and fine and be able to feed his family.

Why is it so important to some of y’all? The dude isn’t playing and I can promise you his teammates understand.

No matter how many times you repeat this stupid shite, it will still be stupid. No one said it was likely.

This is also a possibility. Last year Zach Miller and Ryan Shazier both suffered career ending injuries. Shazier MAY be able to play again, but it's doubtful. Alex Smith broke his leg and now has an infection that is threatening his career. shite happens in football games.

Here is what Fournette signed for as a top 5 pick, so more than that.

Based on the NFL rookie wage scale for 2017, per Spotrac, the total value of Fournette's deal is $27.15 million with a $17.9 million signing bonus.

I am gone. Take the money bro!!!

Sad part is after a 17.9 signing bonus I bet he gets 7-8 million tops.

frick taxes!!!! That’s pathetic for the government to do that and we’re 20 trillion in the hole!!!

Get it while you can Greedy. It’s been a good run. See you on Sunday.
