It's a great moment I just wish I could see it without the granny video

Could they have chosen better music for the band to play while they took the casket to the hearse? I mean WTF was that crap?

Amazing. There's nothing but rural communities in 4141's 70 mile odyssey between Spring and College Station. But, wherever you went, to Magnolia, or Hufsmith, or Todd Mission, or Navasota there were thousands of people waiting at the tracks giving a final farewell to a great man and who will be judged in retrospect to have been a great President.

Were you at the game? I was there, stayed until the *gasp* bitter end, walked 1 1/2 miles back to my car parked by the Bush Library, and was sick as a dog the following day.

I'm not fond of Texans because I quickly tire of hearing how great Texas is.
But, during the Iraq war, I was driving on the highway outside of Liberty, TX, apparently ahead of a funeral procession for a soldier KIA in Iraq, and the number of people posting up along the highway with American flags flying was an awesome thing to see.
They do some things right in Texas, and that's one of them.

Texas is the best state in the land, IMHO. What's remarkable is the strong respect for tradition here, more so in the rural communities throughout the state.
