Im here to put the New OC talk to rest

LSU will not fire its OC and pursue a new one UNTIL things start to go south.
Understand that when a head coach is on the hot seat, the strategy to prolong their tenure is to first fire the OC (to show that they are making a change). That buys them more time to finish out the season and then make a splash hire. After making the hire the university will typically give the programs head coach two more years to see how the program is trending. IF it shows improvement, the head coach will remain. If it still is in decline or stalling, that's when TALK of a new head coach will come about.
Ed O may appear to be dumb but he is not going to get rid of his OC until he absolutely HAS to. His goal with being the LSU head coach is to be there as long as possible.
LSU will not have a new OC going into the next season. IF LSU wins 9 or more games next year, they will not have a new OC.
If you want a new OC, we have to win 8 or less.
Remember, this is a business. Coach O wants to be here as long as he can. Change will not come until he feels the pressure. We are staring down a 10 win season when Vegas had the O/U set at 7 wins. At the end of the day, the success of a schools atheltic program is based on Wins and Losses and the final TEAM rankings. Having one of the worst offensive in the country simply doesnt matter in the eyes of the administration.
FWIW, i am an O supporter. Not the biggest fan of our offensive style but...we will have it until an 8 win or less season comes. We will also NEVER beat Bama with this offensive strategy.

He is keeping the status quo of previous staff.

Got previous OC and HC fired

Goal post officially moved!

Irrelevant. LSU was +7 vs UGA, LSU was -13 vs Bama. has nothing to do when reviewing the performance of your business/program

Horse shite! Having one of the worst offenses in the country, for YEARS was one of the main reasons Miles was fired and paid a hefty buyout!

So, CEO is playing a game! He knows change needs to be made but for his interest, he will slow play it so he can show "change" and get new contract... So much for the emphasis on winning championships and competing for championships day 1... His personal interest over the program... I'm shocked...shocked!

Well that happened to Miles with a fricking 10-3* season in 2015. This just proves the standards are lower for the less intelligent backwater swamptards that support this regime.
This has always has been about meeting expectations which is clear improvement over the previous regime. Thus far, there is none.
He has 1 year to get it or get out. I’m not renewing or discussing contract renewals until the end of 2019 season.
Retarded.

I don’t think Coach O is stupid either. That’s why I think that he realizes he was one call at Auburn away from an eight win season, which by your metric is what qualifies for a new OC, and he brings somebody new in to preserve the ten win season status we are perceived to have with how close A&M was, so that he can stay as head coach as long as possible.
If he doesn’t get a new OC he’s just kicking himself in the shins

Start to go south? We’re already at the South Pole. We can’t go more south. Any more south and we’ll be in outer space.

You mean he is going to look out for his own best interest and out his own interest above LSU’s? Impossible. This is his dream job. He would never do anything to hurt LSU.

Other factors went in to the firing of Les Miles. How many years was he here? You actually are proving my point. He hired and Fired like 4 OCs during his tenure. They finally realized that the OCs were not the real reason the offense sucked.

I did. you spouted off a bunch of very obvious shite like you were so much smarter than the rest of us.
All I said was that coaches can retire. They don't have to be fired.

Our offensive ranking Is residing in Antarctica. Cant go much further south than that. But thanks for the insight.

This year was about setting the Bar. He could have won 8 games, then the number next year would be 7. He just needed to surpass expectations this season, which he did by in large.
