Grandson told me tonight that Coach O was at Minden High today and offered DT Braxton Jackson a scholarship. He is a senior so it’s toward 2019 class.
Just passing it on.

I watched this kid play and he’s a beast. No one could block him the last two years.

Braxton Jackson
Minden High School
6-3, 280
Minden DE Braxton Jackson (Property of LAFM)
Lee’s Scouting Report: “When I saw Braxton Jackson play tight end and at defensive tackle in 2017, I was super impressed. Jackson moves like a linebacker and brings the effort too. He is a big time player.”
Bio: Not often will you see a 6-3, 280 tight end/H-back, but you will occasionally see it with Braxton Jackson who has been used as a leading blocker in certain packages. What is more amazing than seeing Jackson play on the offensive side of the football is what he does on the defensive side of the football. Last season was a dominating year for Jackson, who had 54 tackles, six sacks, a blocked field goal. With those incredible stats while being double teamed often times, Jackson was named 1st Team All-District, 1st Team All-Area, All-Parish defensive MVP, and was also a player of the year nominee. The top schools that Jackson is considering are LSU, Georgia, and Texas Tech. When the football season is over, Jackson likes to hit the gym, go out, and watch some drag racing.

Write up on Minden vs Woodlawn.
Short version. Braxton is unblockable. Across line so fast I thought he was offsides.

Good it's time we start hunting for these guys!

He needs a lot of work on technique. But his athleticism is very impressive. Could eventually end up on the Oline like Hines and Rosenthal. Looks like he has a little mean streak in him. This is something LSU needs on both lines.

oh my! so this is the backup plan for missing on top talent. Coach O and meatball tearing up the recruiting trail on dline. We look like Ark on dline talent if any of the jrs leave. O and meatball have really disappointed on bringing in top talent on the Dline especially DT.

all this means is that O knows that he will not land the big fish at the position
