I'm not surprised. It seems a lot of players who committed to play for Miles didn't care too much for O. Look at all the transfers that happened when that coaching change became permanent.

Not saying it's right or wrong.

On one hand I can understand his concern about possibly getting hurt. But if he did get hurt, medical docs can make him new again

Jaylon Smith’s injury a few years ago was a blessing for agents. They all show these kids where Smith’s stock was before the draft, then where he ended up and all of the money he lost. Not only that, but these guys train(and can raise or lower their stock dramatically) for the specific drills done at the combine. An extra month may or may not make much difference training wise in the end, but once they sign with an agent, they also start getting some real money to spend. If y’all want these highly rated guys to play in bowl games, the NFL needs to do something about guys getting loans from agents before the draft. If that possibility wasn’t there, these kids may think twice about not playing in the bowl games, but then they also may want to get a start on their training. Each case is uniquely different.

Well if he declared ,he don’t need to be kicked off. But be that as it may it’s a business decision for LSU ago not let him be on sidelines

College football is an NFL developmental league this day and age.

Yep.
Personally I wish there was a true developmental league for players who didn't want to attend college. Let the NFL offer the highest rated players coming out of high school with bonus, contract and 4 years of scholarship money. That would leave programs the players who are interested in being student athletes. It may reduce the amount of under the table cash offers, and other bullshite that occurs.
The college game would be just as entertaining.

Miles started that bullshite. Another way he hurt the program.

There ya have it folks. It's all Miles fault. Nothing is ever placed at the feet of o. That SOB is untouchable.

By the way, we all know there were plenty of players that left as soon as they were draft eligible under Miles. That's what he sold to them after all.

But I don't ever remember a player sitting out a bowl game under Miles watch unless he was hurt.

O on the other hand?

Perhaps Greedy was aware of how o quit on the USC Trojans before their bowl game in 2013, and figured if it's good for the goose, it's good for the gander.

sounds like he is going to be another Odell, might be a very good NFL player, but will be known more for being a selfish prick then for his talent

I think he met with Orgeron to discuss and Orgeron thought they were going to have second final meeting. I guess Greedy didn't feel the need for the second meeting. That doesn't make him a POS, though. It could have been a case of Orgeron hearing what he wanted to hear and not listen to what Greedy was telling him.

Which is what Orgeron is quoted as saying

quote:

"I wish him the best obviously," Orgeron said. "If that's what he wants to do, we wish him and his family the best. I didn't know that was posted yet. We were going to have a final meeting, but if that's what him and his family want — that he wasn't going to play and go into the draft, we wish him the best."

but don't tell that to the OP he thinks Greedy is scum and takes every chance he can to shite on him. Some of these "fans" are an embarrassment.
