For the record I don't think the players or fans are scum for leaving early.

I like it. If they leave early, they are scum. I don't want to hear "business decision" or "protecting themselves". If you say this you are just a blind lemming following the narrative that has been fed to you.
So here's the scenario I propose to you. You've worked your whole life for a job and you're finally in your senior year of college. The job is there for you. You just have to graduate. The professor gives your study group one last project.
He tells you that you aren't required to do the project, but if you do, and it's bad, you will lose that job. What would you do? Take on a project that can't help you and only possibly hurt you, or take the job?

No, I want to not be judged just like the player that leaves the team to go pro.
Please tell us about how you were in the catbird seat to gain millions of USD and risked it all because of your undying loyalty to any entity. You cant stay in a stadium for the length of a game.
You come across as a self righteous, whiny, entitled punk with this terrible analogy. I’ll paraphrase the crux of your op. ‘I deserve what I want because my time and entertainment is more important than a career and well being.’
How many millions do you risk by being in traffic an extra hour or so? Players that do this have real names that will be judged. All we know about Ryno_Kill is that she likes to leave games early.

So it's my job to make sure players make millions don't they hire agents for this? I bet you would cup the ball sack if a player asked!

Interesting comparison.
For the record, I stay until garbage/run out the clock time of all games.
If my child had a full ride plus benefits at LSU I would probably stay until they turned off the lights if LSU asked me to. I might even help them start cleaning the stadium.

WTF are you talking about? No, it’s not your job, so don’t compare being a fan that loses an hour of time to someone that risks millions through physical injury.

Lol, sick burn. Try again a-hole. Your junior high rhetoric is telling.

So the peons of the world should just do what they are told you don't seem so true to your name Tuco Pacifico.

I really don’t know wtf you’re talking about here. If anything, you’ve suggested that the players are the peons by comparing your risk of time in traffic to their risk of financial security.

If players bail out early then you can too
Posted on 11/30/18 at 9:44 pm to Ryno_Kill
I wouldn't buy a ticket to leave early. It makes no sense to me. But some people have more money than others, and they can afford to show up and leave early to avoid traffic. So I say let them do what they want. It's their money to do with as they please.
As for players leaving before the end of the season, I understand the financial aspect of it. But I don't respect it. I believe that you reap what you sow. And if you put yourself before your teammates because you don't think you can make it through one more game without getting hurt, then you shouldn't expect your career to go very well. Be all in, or don't bother ever coming to campus.

So you downvoted me because of out everything that I said, I happened to accidentally type in "sew" instead of sow?
That's pretty pathetic. And you opened your one word sentence without capitalizing the first letter. It's funny how being a jerk always has a way of making you look foolish.

ok, let's use your example. The other students in the class can opt out of the project too because it will have no impact on their grade either. The difference in your example and the bowl game, is that there aren't thousands of fans waiting to watch your project, there are hundreds of people working around the project who's jobs depend on it, there aren't tv deals based on your project that will have no viewership. Nice try, but totally different.

If I stay until the end of every game I go to can I criticize Greedy?

Hmmm... commitment.
One sides is stronger than the other.

hyperbole much? You act like if one person doesn't play the game isn't played. You have MAYBE 2 guys on teams playing in non playoff bowls that would possibly sit. Them sitting will cause all of what you said above???
So go ahead and answer. Would you stay and do the project or take the job?

Some of you take this way too seriously. I will always cheer on the Tigers as that’s where I went to college. But at the end of the day I understand that it’s an entertaining amateur product played by 18-22 year old kids which the majority will go on with their lives and do something other than football when their eligibility runs out,. For the good players, they view it as tryouts to showcase their talents so they can do this professionally and make a living doing it. That’s why some of them sit out the bowl games; because they’re thinking about their future. As far as worrying about if others leave a game early; Jesus Christ, get over it. If that’s something that upsets you or concerns you, please reevaluate your life.

You see the thing you're forgetting is some of these people have zero else in their life besides football. Therefore they grossly exaggerate a situation that is ultimately not that big of a deal because in their head they think they have invested and are risking as much as the players on the field. It's comical.
