I see they're on a bill in Houston later this month and hoping to see them.
Local Pacifica station used to always play Let's Go Smoke Some Pot, which was all I knew of them, but thanks to the wonders of YouTube I've found they have some good songs too.
Not sure if it's original members, but I'm kinda impressed they're still playing.

Just Bill Davis remains from the glory days of Dash blazing through the southern club circuit.
Definitely try to go see them. Bill is a great front man and can still rip that Tele to shreds.

Cool. It's a $10 cowpunk show. I was already interested then I saw them listed as the fourth band on the lineup. Been diving into youtube. Looking forward to it.

Loved to go see them back in the 80s and 90s.

The Houston show you're talking about is at Fitzgerald's and it's the closing show for that venue. It's also the place they recorded (most of) Boiled Alive which is a must-hear if you're a Dash fan. Should be a special night.

Bill and his two young hired guns in Dash are also in a side band over here on the Northshore called Borealis Rex. Saw them Friday night in Covington. Great stuff. No dash songs, lots of originals and a couple Stones and ZZ Top covers.

Man, I would've loved to have seen Dash with Fred on drums!!!
First saw them in '91 at Chevy's. I was a 19-yr-old frat puke, so I don't remember it at all.
Like, at all.
In '92, Cowboy Mouth played a mid-week daytime show in the SLU Student Union (Atrium?) For freshman orientation.
Fred was covered in mud from head to toe by third song.
It was so 90's awesome I don't have words.

If he isn't too piss drunk to sit upright and form words. Flip a coin.

I used to go see them at the Chimes in the mid 80s'...'85-'86 maybe.. every tuesday....or thursday...i can't remember which night. Usually about 15 or 20 people in the place and they would tear it up. Fred was really entertaining to watch. The Dick Nixons were another fun band to see back then.

I saw them with Fred once and he made an impression.
In the mid/late 90's I saw them at the Caterie for the 50th time or so. The next morning I was on the Louisiana Sportsman forum looking for fishing information. Someone was asking about fishing the Causeway (the Longest Bridge in the World BTW) from Fontainebleau state park. It turned out to be Hokey who told me he was quitting Dash to be a fishing guide. The previous night was the last time he played in Dash as far as I know. I have no idea if his fishing career worked out.
Also saw them in Lawrence, KS in 91 for a fun show.

Big daddy likes whisky:
Fun show. Also saw some great sets by the Hickoids and the completely insane Beaumonts, and several others. Fun last trip to Fitz's.

On the deck in Philip T's backyard for someone's birthday. I think
Billy left on breaks to work at his paying gig, computer backups or something
