As others have stated they are loyal and friendly animals. They do have a lot of energy so you and your son will need to invest time in properly exercising him. When i say you i mean it. Dont expect your soon to do the heavy lifting.

Also remember, this isnt a christmas time toy. This is an addition to your family. This animal will rely and trust you to care for it when you bring it home. If this is something your son will tire with in a few months probably not the best idea.

Da fuq? Labs are probably the best all around dog there is. We just got another one, a sweet little chocolate, we named him Snickers.

Those are great but definitely have their place. It’s gets pretty hot in Louisiana but if you let them inside they can handle it. They are big but very friendly. A lot of people can’t handle it.

Make sure that he is well aware that if Santa brings him a dog, he has to feed and clean up after it.

Yeah, make sure Santa brings a pooper scooper as a supplementary present.

I have a relative that bred them years ago. Not the smartest breed, and can be aggressive. He had to put down one of his males for biting him a couple of times.
