This kind of attitude in Louisiana of, 'I want my football coach to be a family man and my best friend' is exactly why LSU won't compete for championships. Usually people who are good at their job have big egos and aren't the most likeable people. Usually people who are intelligent are socially retarded so they're not the kind of people you want to hang out with.

I want LSU to have a coach like Sean Payton. A cocky a-hole who gets shite done. I don't give a shite if I like the guy. I don't care if he's a piece of shite. I'm not marrying the guy. He just has to win football games and entertain me.

I have defended Coach O all I'm going to. I have been a Tiger fan since 1959, and have seen the good and bad. Coach O has become Lesticles with an accent playing not to LOSE. I am so damn tired of this. Look at the ND bowl game last year. Field goal from the 6 in line, and then 4th and Aranda in his prevent 4th and 22 for the game. The Texas AM game was a carbon copy of playing not to lose from ALL the coaches. Let the criticism pour in, I don't care. Like Herm Edward's famously said, "you play the game to WIN." In my opinion, if he doesn't get this right by getting a young, dynamic offensive coordinator, leaving him alone to run his system and letting him bring his own support staff in, then Orgeron is not going to be the head coach for long.

There's no way in hell you can continue to have a bottom half offense at a program like LSU and consider that a success. And there's no two ways about it, Steve Ensminger is not going to give you a top 50 offense.

While it's not perfect, this is a product of the antiquated offensive system LSU has ran since Jimbo Fisher left. Pro style offenses require Pro players on the offensive line. Other teams with far less Talent on the offensive line manage to scheme around their issues or at the very least, coach them up properly.

Get the aforementioned young, dynamic coordinator and the offensive line problem takes care of itself. How people here don't see that when there are literally dozens of examples all throughout college football, just blows my mind and tells me that they're either ignorant or trying to make excuses to protect somebody they're enamored with.
