I have a friend who's an SEC ref. He's 44.

44 is not old, however there aren't a lot like that period most are older. And I would be curious if he is moving up

Then why don’t you diplomatically start a conversation with him to corroborate some of the alleged facts presented by OP.

Key word is diplomatically so you don’t alert your corrupt podnuh.

Ok great. I think what he is saying is your friend isn't an SEC ref because of what he knew but because of who he knew.

Does your friend suck at his job too? If so, they might have let him in and ignored his age due to that.

I know of one who was a college QB just 10-12 years ago.
