Lee was inept. The only reason his reputation as a "great general" survives is that he's part of that "lost cause" propaganda... to paint the South as something noble. Gettysburg, for example, is textbook shitty military foresight, planning, and execution... and totally at odds with what the South needed to do to win its independence.

I am going to issue a formal invite to Rex. We honor General Robert E. Lee here in my hometown by having an elementary school named after him.
It has carried that proud name for years and since we have local city control of our schools it will continue to carry said name. He is more than welcome to come and tour our facility, we have young people of all races that go here and none of them bitch and moan like he does.
We wouldn't name an outhouse after Stanley Mc Chrystal.
