Are Dems being cuckolded by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

HuffPo seems to think so
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Blesses New Push To Oust Incumbent Democrats In Primaries
In a significant escalation of her activism-driven approach to politics, Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has urged other progressives to mount primary challenges against some of the more conservative Democratic members of Congress.
Ocasio-Cortez delivered the appeal in a phone call on Saturday with some 700 progressive activists organized by Justice Democrats, the group of alumni of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential bid.
“Long story short, I need you to run for office,” Ocasio-Cortez began her remarks. “We all need to run at all levels of government, but I really hope that many of you join me here in Congress.”
Justice Democrats recruited Ocasio-Cortez to run and played a key role in her upset of Rep. Joe Crowley, a House power-broker, in New York’s Democratic primary in June. Ocasio-Cortez then easily won the seat Crowley has held since 1999 in this month’s general election.
The group is calling its new campaign #OurTime. The initiative asks Justice Democrats’ army of activists to help identify Democratic House incumbents who are “demographically and ideologically out-of-touch with their districts,” and identify people who might make good primary challengers to them.
Joining Ocasio-Cortez in backing the #OurTime initiative is Rep.-elect Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).
Justice Democrats’ inclusion of demographic criteria likely means that even some reliably progressive white Democrats who represent more diverse districts won’t be safe from such challenges in 2020. The group already showcased that approach with its support for Ayanna Pressley, a black Boston city council member who unseated progressive Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.) in a primary in September.

How will the DNC off her like they did to Bernie?

I don't get the right-wing obsession with calling liberals racist for everything they say, but this is straight-up one of the most deeply troubling racial comments I've seen with an absolute dumptruck of racism behind it.
1. We want to infiltrate Congress
2. Find white people who represent minority-heavy districts
3. Run a minority candidate
4. Make the entire campaign about race
5. Profit
If your key talking point is structural obstacles to winning elections, then even losing is still winning.
"Look at what they did to Stacy Abrams in Georgia - we won't let that happen again!" becomes a rallying cry, another tool to drive turnout and convince more people to buy in to your narrative.

As the party pushes further left, these people are the ones who will take over. The so-called moderate Dems will be pushed out.

She'll get reigned in sooner or later. In the meantime, it's fun to watch and hope the party does split.

She's not as terrible as I once thought, because she had some semblance of a plan. They're just really terrible plans.
I would never vote for her, but I'll live with her being in the house. The issue is going to be as she picks up more steam and the Democrats going increasingly to the left she very well could end up being a Presidential Candidate in 6-10 years. And just like Bernie, she will also be a terrible candidate that does not represent what the majority of American people want.
Or maybe they don't want to work as hard and have stuff given to them, I don't know. She's just WAYYYYY too far to the left, and having our society shift that way would be incredibly problematic.

I think her watch is several hours fast.
The good thing that will become of that is that is will force their primary opposition Democrats to move more to the middle.

Dem voters are consistently being cuckolded by the dem party.

This is going to be the culmination of 10 years of identity politics and the left becoming more open about their socialist agenda that they've been trying to covertly implement. The infighting will be fun to watch and you know Trump will help throw rocket fuel on the fire.

Not sure that is a winning strategy. Dems were tripping over themselves to see who could be the furthest left. Why do you think that is a winning strategy? Amazing how this chick is even in the news.

Unfortunately it is still a two party system where there are only two choices.

You think she's a better choice than....anyone?
I can't tell if she's trolling Democrats are legitimately retarded.

Republicans would do well to stay away from her at the moment. Never interrupt your enemy when she is making a mistake.
I am no fan of Trump by any means, but this is the sort of thing that will lead to his re-election in 2020.

She's not. She's legitimately uninformed. Watch literally any interview with her. It's cringe worthy.

How is this any different than Tea Party and Trump Republicans challenging RINOs in primary elections?
