I've never bought one so I don't know what I am looking for. I looked around online but the prices and reviews are all over the place.
(It will be used in a 2 bedroom apartment, wood/carpet floors, with one dog and one cat.)

Ecovacs Deebot N79S

FYI the Deebot 79s is on sale for $140 for the next 9 hours or so on Amazon.
I'm debating between this and a Eufy like the 30c.

I have this one and am happy with it. When I first got it one of the arms didn’t spin. Instead of setting up a return through amazon I contacted ECOVACS and they sent me out a new one with a shipping label to send the defected one back so it was a good experience as far as the company goes with response time and how they handled the situation. It is really quiet, has two suction modes and integrates with Alexa.
I also have an older model roomba that is really loud and doesn’t do as good of a job as this one does.

As the above poster mentioned, their abilities are ranked pretty closely, however, the 11S does not have wifi or smart home abilities and scheduling. The Deebot does.
But it's supposedly better at not getting stuck and on higher pile carpets than other vacs.
I'd like the smart features so that's why I'm waiting for a Robovac 30C deal. Should come down to at least $250 as that was the last sale price it went for.

I have the deebot 907 and it’s been great so far. The mapping features are slick. However that little bitch is stuck today for the first time. Says I need to clean the anti drop sensor or some shite.

Got a Deebot I'll make a good deal on if anyone wants it. We used it twice and it's been sitting in the charger under the bar for months now. Just prefer swiffer/mop on the wood floors.

I bought a Deebot M80 on Black Friday last year...it has been freaking awesome.

I agree with roomba being too noisy. its motors are simply too loud. We used to own a deebot and the only reason we switched is because we wanted to try another brand, would you believe that. Though we're quite happy with the n79 already. Very easy to use and can even work well with carpet. I just find it a bit tiring how we have to constantly empty its dirtbin very often, since it's small.

I feel like robovacs don't have enough suction to really do anything on carpet unless you spend a shitload. We just use our Eufy to run around the hardwood floors and get dust, hair, crumbs, and it's good at that. I like that the eufy has a remote, two spinning brushes instead of 1 (suck it Roomba), and the different cleaning modes like perimeter, concentrating on one area, etc. (again, suck it Roomba). And I got it for $212 bucks.

I have an ecovac ...d (something) ...yes i know that isnt very helpful but i wanted to add that a benefit to the ecovac line that is not usually mentioned is that they are usually 1/2 to 3/4 in shorter than roomba. It goes right under my couch and my leather chair (if im not sitting in the chair) it has...3/8 or so clearance . i measured furniture height before settling on the debot) I also work from home and i ask coworkers if they can hear it running and ..they cant. Very happy with Spock (boldly goes where no vacuum has gone before)
Eta: i picked mine up at Christmas '17 for 180ish. Still has great pick up.

Good point on height. My eufy fits under my couch as well so with the remote i can just drive him around under there.

Funny this got bumped. I ended up going with the Roomba i7+ and it is pretty sweet. It's basically where these robots are all going to be in a few years.
The height was a concern for the couch but I'll live.
I run it every night at 2am and it doesn't bother us since we're upstairs.
The biggest shock was the fact my dogs didn't GAF about it when it runs while they are awake.

Just get the lowest profile robot vac you can afford and call it a day.
