Do you think the offensive stagnation is the OC or HC fault?

We have seen this same problem ever since 2009. OCs come and go but the problems remain. Why does the OC get the blame? Why isn’t O blamed for the offense like Miles was?

OMG ...the Dline coach was made HC and allowed to hire the TE coach as the OC

This isn't that hard to figure out

HC, always. Even if it's the OC you have to ask who chose the OC.

It just seems like the HC is responsible for everything. If he wants a modern offense then he would make sure one was installed.

But there isn’t one.

I agree. I just don’t understand why E is being blamed. He is doing what O wants.

You don't think LSU fans blamed Cam Cameron?

Both are to blame. E gets it because this is his direction and philosophy which is limited because of his age/background/experience, etc. I think hes a good playcaller but his approach is dated. O is to blame because of his reluctance/approval to put empower someone in that position to progress the offense into this century. It's a leap of faith and when you can win 10 games and get a contract extension with the offense you have in place it's going to be hard to convince a man of his confidence that it's time to make drastic changes.

Thats how the best of the best think (guys like Saban, Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, etc) and O is not the best of the best.

The downvote on my original post indicates people don’t think it is Os fault. This is just crazy to me.

O should get most of the blame simply because he couldn’t take no for an answer and kept pushing the job on an unqualified candidate.

And I do agree that Steve is putting a hodgepodge of an offense together for something O has envisioned. I don’t get why O/LSU digs their heels in against a modern offense. It’s sickening what we trot out there on the field each and every Saturday.

I mean Bama had Blake smith out there like 3-4 years ago throwing for 28 TDs. He wasn’t even a real QB. We make it more difficult than it needs to be.

Previous head coach. Our offensive talent is far below our defensive talent, and it has been since about 2008. It takes time to rebuild that. The only NFL talent we have on offense are second year or first year players. THERE ARE ZERO JUNIORS OR SENIORS ON OFFENSE WHO ARE NFL PLAYERS!!! (Except Burrow and Lewis who were both added by Orgeron)

Foster, Dillon, and Anderson will get tryouts, and one or two might stick in the league, but none are surefire NFL players.

I love Les, but he had become complacent. I was against O, but he is doing well enough restocking that the jury is still out on him. He has a great 2019 class commited. If he can hold it together, and add some DTs, he will have moved us in the right direction. Especially since the 2020 class is off to a great start.

Yall are all acting like O hasn't made changes each of the 2 offseasons hes been HC. So far we are 9-2 with a special season still in hand. Let's get to the bowl break and offseason and see what changes get made and then make judgement. The amount of negativity you guys have in the midst of a very good season is ridiculous. Criticism is ok but some of the comments here would make you think we are talking about a 6 or 7 win team spiraling down the toilet.

I like O and think he did a great job with this team going 9-2 up to now. However, if he leaves Canada we have a much better offense this year but probably the same record or a good chance we beat Florida. Since he did not get a long with Canada, he should have gotten a big name OC like Briles or pick a coordinator from the Mike Leach system.

Like someone said, we hire our DL coach who hires our TE coach to be OC... That does not pass the test for something new and fresh, and actually it stinks. We need a REAL OC who changes the mindset of our players as they are in the same OLD FUNK that has been LSU offense since the 2007 Gary Crowton National Championship, where we looked like a dynamic machine
