Sort of..... CHAOS really needs to happen in the conference championship games and the only 1 I hope that matters to LSU fans is the Big10 championship game between Northwestern and either Ohio State or Michigan.

I've got Clemson, Ala, and ND in the playoffs. That leaves 1 team left and it's going to be either OK, The Ohio State, Michigan, or LSU. If we assume WV is going to outscore OK in Morgantown to end the regular season for both teams then that leaves The Ohio State and Michigan. Michigan is better defensively than Ohio State but the game this next weekend is at Ohio State so it's going to be close..... Let's just hope Northwestern is ready to GEAUX!

Of course all this means zero if LSU loses to the Aggies and Ala stumbles against Ga. - assuming Ala whips Auburn. LSU STILL has a chance. Who would have thought that at the beginning of the season. GEAUX TIGERS!

or wsu. they are #8 and will probably pass lsu this week. they are forcing their way past lsu because they are exciting to watch and have some interesting stories.

i hate this time of the season because lsu has always played a harder schedule than the teams lsu is hoping will lose. sagarin has lsu at #20 s.o.s.

2 Clemson 49
3 Michigan 40
5 Oklahoma 43
6 Ohio State 53
7 Notre Dame 47
13 Washington State 60
20 UCF 95

that is ridiculous but that's what the standard is. lsu is not going to be given a pass for the extra loss despite playing a significantly tougher schedule than the above.

That means you root for the following to happen WV to beat OU NW to beat the winner of the OSU/UM game WAZZU to lose to UW or lose in the title game

Add to this you likely need Alabama to win out, Florida to beat FSU, UGA to beat Ga Tech, Miami to finish strong over Pitt next week, and possibly UCF to lose somewhere.

Gaming this out, you have to assume that Alabama, Clemson, and now Notre Dame still get in With a single loss (Alabama and ND almost certainly). You also want LSU’s losses to be the best quality in the final standing. Lost in all this is the possibility that if chaos erupts, there will be a lot of push to elevate UCF over LSU I’d imagine for a 4th spot if the contenders from the big 10, big 12, and pac 12 all get eliminated

why the frick would you want your team to miss the playoff if it had the chance to get there

LSU has no chance and getting skullfricked by Bama again would negatively affect recruiting

Yeah, plus I think the playoff committee will try to avoid a LSU-Bama rematch if possible.

You really want to see Ensminger go for the hat trick against Bama?

lsu is already there as i enumerated with the s.o.s. rankings. the problem is the 2nd loss that lsu has in relation to those rankings. the s.o.s. isn't enough to overcome the loss to fla.

i can't imagine this happening. lsu's resume would be FAR stronger with an equal record.

We need to root for Washington to beat Wash St (Could happen)
...and.... Ohio St gets to play Bama (after Ohio St beats Northwestern, of course.)

Were a 2 loss team who didn’t win its division.

We need some really bad losses ahead.

I think Clemson, Bama and Notre Dame won out.

We would need the winner of Michigan Ohio State to Lose to Notthwestern (and then the committee to pick us over them)

We need Wash u to lose to washington and Utah.

We need OU to beat WVU and then lose to Texas again.

We need Bama to beat UGA.

We MAY jump an 11-2 UGA if we’re 10-2 with a head to head beat down. Especially if Bama spanks them.

We don't need GT to win. We need Bama to beat UGA.
