Lafayette Lunch Recs (Christmas Eve)

I’ll be spending Christmas with my family in BR, wife will be with hers in LC. So the two families will be meeting up for lunch in Lafayette on Christmas Eve. Any recommendations on where we should go for lunch?

Get a reservation for Poor Boy's Riverside Inn if they aren't closed? It's close enough to Lafayette.

Bump for the Sunday morning crew. Would love for it to be a place that will take reservations, just to be on the safe side. TIA.

What kind of food, how many people, and what kind of vibe are you going for?

Who goes out to a restaurant on Christmas Eve?

People who are in from out of town and want to meet their in-laws at a midway point between BR and LC

Nothing overly fancy, it’s just lunch after all. Selfishly I’d like some good local food since I don’t get it often anymore.
Vibe would be nice if it’s upscale casual. Would be about 7-8 of us

While I personally think it's almost staggeringly overrated, I'll actually second lovelsu's recommendation of Fezzo's in Scott. It would tick all of your boxes, it's almost right in the middle of BR and the Chuck, and it's very close to the interstate.

It's BR and LC... It's not like you're meeting between New York and Atlanta.

Ok, then people who’d like to meet up and have a meal and visit for the holidays without one party having to drive 3 hours each way. Is that better? It’s just a lunch on Christmas Eve, don’t see what the big deal is.

Concur, for all the same reasons.
Fezzo's is a good rec for the OP.

Appreciate all of the advice outside of Parmen being salty. Fezzos does look like it will fit the bill.

This is exactly where you DO NOT go. I agree to Fezzos in Scott or Don’s downtown.
Drago’s on Johnston street is pretty popular too.
