Coach O would’ve never pulled the stunt Applewhite did tonight.

I have no idea why one of the best players in program history wearing a jacket on the sideline would make you want to pull it off him on national tv. Bad look.

Applewhite is a moron.

They should have let Oliver kill him.

My guess is that MA feels EO could play, but EO doesn't want to take a chance of further injury and hurting his draft position. In any case, EO has been the face of the program for three years, and MA should have left him alone and just say "thanks for the memories".

Briles doesn't want to work for that loose cannon.

You're absolutely right. He'd save it for the post game presser.

Maybe Oliver is a huge arse in the locker room and not coachable at all. Maybe Applewhite feels like he is milking it and being bum. Maybe Oliver being a bum is effecting effort from other players.

And we should be thankful that 2 of the top 5 projected picks in next year’s draft are still giving it their all for Coach O and their teammates instead of sitting out or leaving school.

True, Ed O lets his stars do what they want. Remember when Fournette wasn’t going to play against Florida, then got into a pregame altercation and told Orgeron he was now going to play? We lost that game.

Houston and Applewhite should be thankful that Ed Oliver even decided to grace them with his play and presence over the last 3 years.

They showed him playing grabass in the pregame warmups. Looked pretty healthy.

His grabass looked like warm ups. Nothing wrong with Oliver.

I agree, O wouldn’t have the balls to tell a star player to follow the rules.

It was obvious the UH trainer was telling him to take it off before to give to players who are playing and Oliver was giving him a hard time. So Applewhite stepped in and takes it off himself. He’s the head coach. If he tells you to do something, do it.

The great Jimmy Johnson said he treated all his players the same, in that he treated them differently.

You don't play in the game, you don't wear the jacket. If that's the rule, that's the rule. You start having different rules for different players and you are asking for serious team problems.

On most teams there’s different rules for different players, as a matter of fact at most jobs there’s different rules for different people, to think otherwise would be silly.
