Why are you trying so hard to convince yourself that les is the worst coach ever?

It’s like you can’t stand anyone saying he actually was a good coach at lsu. Which his resume backs up the claim.

Give it a few recruiting cycles and I bet Miles could compete at Kansas. The Miles name will attract recruits, especially defensive players, offensive lineman, tight ends, fullbacks, and running backs. He was always pretty successful at stopping air raid offenses, like we see in the Big 12, and those defenses are so bad that he could lineup and run the ball and be successful. He could build that program up to where they dominate the line of scrimmage because they’d be more physical than any defense they play against. Not saying it will happen but he could have the same philosophy he had at LSU and be successful

That's up there where those big corn fed offensive linemen grow on trees. He can come south for his skill positions and have Kansas respectable in a couple of years. I'm excited to see what he can do.

His offensives at Okie lite were incredibly more agressive than his late years at LSU.

i would not be surprised one bit to see him run HUNH spread, if he knows he can't ground and pound people like he did at LSU.

also a good point Ben. I'm very interested to see not only what he accomplishes, but how he builds his football team.

I’m not saying that. I think Les is a decent coach.

I just don’t think he’s going to be successful at Kansas (by successful I mean winning seasons). There are people claiming he’s going to tear it up and some are even worrying about him stealing Louisiana’s recruits from LSU.

Somewhere in the top 5.

However, all the O lovers/Miles bashers "last der der der, he left O with a rebuild, der der der."

Anyone who could build a really good defense could wreak havoc in the Big 12....as it something they never face.....It is a flag football league....

Could get interesting there running the football with Narcisse and Pooka. He’d probably rank out middle of the pack

Les would currently be the 2nd best coach in the SEC just as he was a few years ago.

Truth.

It is not easy to win. It's not easy at LSU or Texas or Michigan.....it's not easy to win anywhere.

Les Miles is a great coach. Only ignorant fools think otherwise.

Did y'all know that Oklahoma State fans are convinced their offensive coordinator is trash? That is how good Gundy has been as a coach in recent years, Okie lite fans think that just because they arent guaranteed to score 40 every game its because their OC is trash. He has spoiled fricking Okie lite. Les will have competition, there are good coaches in that league.

"If he finds a QB."

Doesn’t history show he won’t do this?

No it doesnt. But history does tell us when he has a competent QB he is difficult to beat. Hell some years he was difficult to beat with some of the worst QB play in the nation, which is really impressive in the SEC west.

History also tells us, maybe no one in the country has looked harder or has more experience in locating an Out of State QB. He won the Mettenberger sweepstakes and had Brennan coming to LSU. I wouldnt dis Brennan just yet Lucky, he has some big time potential.

But many just remember the Fournette and Harris/Jennings offense, which was just 2 years or so of his entire tenure.
He went too long with Harris and it cost him the Wisconsin game and ultimately his job.

Harris was a major Louisiana QB talent. Miles wanted so badly for Harris to be successful. It just didnt work out. Its easy to play Monday Morning QB just ask Fedora.
Finding a QB at LSu has proven to be difficult even for good recruiters like Miles and Orgeron.

I stand by my prediction that Miles will have after 3 seasons a .500 team as a floor and will compete for a Championship if can find the right leader for the offense. This is what history tells me.

If I were the AD of lowly Kansas and found someone with a pulse and a National Title........... = hired by telephone and I would find the money somewhere somehow.

Who would be your pick for that job if you were the AD of Kansas?
