So what it's a restaurant bar mixed with real driving range? Better than sweaty VR headsets I was envisioning.

From some of the replies, I think not.

more than just a range, balls have a GPS chip in them and there are a bunch of different scoring games to play

it is, as I said, non golfers can enjoy it, and if the weather is bad, or you don't have 4-5 hours to go play, it's handy

I saw them too. But Top Golf is being built right up against I-10. Add Drunk LSU students with a powerful golf swing and THATS the answer to your why.

They have the nets at every location. As does any driving range near a road. Or I should say most.

I hear ya buckaroo but he's right. These poles are admittedly pretty frickin tall. It makes sense though, seeing as Top Golf has multi-levels.
The net height has to account for someone teeing off from 3 stories off the ground.

It looks odd to us small town folk who haven't seen many driving ranges like Top Golf in their lives.

I hate you.

I drive by it daily and noticed they were tall as them Bethany Behemoth crosses across the I-10. It took a solid few seconds to realize WHY they were so high compared to nets at other driving ranges and golf courses. Faqbutt.

I've sliced it over the net in Houston at least twice. Hope the BR nets are taller.

That's his point. These are VERY tall poles. I'll get a real pic today if I don't zone out on my drive home and focus on poontang and beers.

I've come close to getting it over the back net in Dallas a few times(from the top level,) bet I could if I brought my driver, and maybe not
