So you roll with Bushrod at LT, or do you slide over Peat and put Tom at LG?

I think thats the #1 in game option if Bush is getting beat badly.

Armstead is a beast......but we go through this every damn year.

If it’s only a couple of games a year......his talent is worth it. Hopefully he will get back sooner than expected

So Armstead and Davenport should be back by the time the playoffs start. That should be a good boost. Isn’t Ginn eligible to come back too if he’s able?

We will be fine if all he misses is Eagles, Falcons, and cowboys game. Hell, if he’s not 100% by cowboys game rest him then too

As of now, we know more about Armstead's timetable than Davenport's.

Keep continuity and start bushrod. If he struggles just move peat out and slide in Tom at LG.

Josh Katz just said on Twitter Payton declined to confirm TA will be out weeks. Maybe they getting a 2nd opinion?

I will take that. Was very worried with all the absolute silence from the Saints or anyone.

maybe

but Payton doesn't talk about injuries until he's forced to by the NFL... ie the practice participation reports

Does anybody remember the Armstead takes after his first few games about how terrible he was?

There were big runs to the left side with Bushrod in there. I’m not too worried about him. Brees is familiar with him.

Couldn’t ask for a better back up LT

not many teams can replace a starting lineman with a Super Bowl winning starter off their bench

Payton never confirmed Davenport would miss a month either. I think he just hates rap

Yeah I was wondering if trading him would be an idea.

If he finishes the season, you could contemplate it.

Would a 1st round be worth it? The only offset is the cap hit, you're leaving 7mil dead.

I think you can argue you shouldn't until after brees retires. You'd just have to ensure you have depth on the OL for these situations.

It will probably just be Eagles, Falcons and Cowboys without him. I think he’ll gut it out and play against the Bucs even though I’d rather him rest. I’m just glad he’s not out for the season.

Bushrod won’t be good but he won’t be bad either. Expect to see a lot of Zach Line on passing downs to help compensate. But none of the four teams: Eagles, Dallas, Atlanta, Bucs have DLine play we can’t handle without him. The games will probably be a lot tougher but I’d rather a healthy Armstead for the playoffs
