We don't appear to have the depth at DL we hoped we'd have, and the incoming recruiting class is light-at-best at DL. So I still am not sure I understand why we moved both Rosenthal and Hines to DL. Thoughts?

Don’t even start because they are gonna come hunting you on here.

Dare Rosenthal is the LT of the future and the truth.....that is a real good move.

And what would we look like without Hines this year at guard? Lol

Not sure about Rosenthal, but Hines was moved to offensive guard because he’s an offensive guard. It would have been a disservice to the kid, and the team, to play him anywhere but offensive guard. Before he reported to LSU I posted on here that he would be moved to offense. It was obvious from his highlight films. This kid is nimble-footed, mean, strong and big. He will be an NFL starter.

Chosen Hines is a future all American at guard.

Dare was never going to play defense outside of giving him ebough time to there so O can say he didn’t lie to him when he said he would be given a shot on defense first.

Well Dare would have been a 5 star offensive line recruit, and even Bama wanted him there iirc. He was set on dline where he was rated much lower as his talent looks better suited to oline.

Both were initially highly ranked O-lineman in high school, then they both swapped to playing defense. They both were recruited with the promise of playing defense.
