Founding fathers did not intend to have an entrenched ruling class. Personally I think not instituting term limits was an oversight on their part.

Yes, one reason why Trump was elected. Also one very big reason the deep state is fighting so hard to get Trump out. If he ever gets term limits in, the deepstate's gravy train of under the table power and money is over. No more getting in office, setting up a money laundering foundation, and becoming a millionaire from being in office 40 years.

Initially, I’d say yes.
I still think I’d say yes, but only if a former Congressman/Senator was forbidden from lobbying for at least 6 years.
If we were to impose term limits... I’d say that a term limit of 18 years fungible between both the House and the Senate would strike a good balance between keeping career politicians out while avoiding the problem of serving in office as a springboard to lobbying.
