It’s literally the first rule of firearm safety, but sure, let’s all bow to the fake commandos because they want to stage a photo for social media flare
Besides, 1911's have multiple safeties implemented. If it's a Series 80 (likely), at least 3. If not, still 2.

sorry... i didn't see your response till just now.
Regarding your questions, absolutely, he was a practicing Jew. Jesus himself is our hermeneutic, emphasizing the teachings on mercy and inclusion.
The faith has evolved as it's encountered different cultures no doubt. the latest american incarnation, as I said, of modern america's evangelical prosperity gospel (the theological image of God as an old white guy who wants us to be wealthy) blended with patriotism (God loves America and has singled it out to act in 'his' interest in the world") is wrong in my view.
This blending is very apparent in his comments below:
"Let us reflect then, as a nation, as children of God, upon His wisdom, upon the truth of the most high Holy Spirit. I posit that America will never become a socialist nation. Our freedoms have been paid for by the blood of Patriots."

emphasizing the teachings on mercy and inclusion

I’ve referred to Yahweh as a genocidal maniac? I’m not saying definitively that I haven’t, but I don’t recall doing so
Eta: just checked, and I’ve literally never used the word “maniac” on this board. Ever

Both books could have used a better editor.

Fear is a strong word, but I certainly wouldn’t be inclined to pause and hang out between them. Would you?

Yessir. Have you read past the first page of this thread?

Jesus would find that offensive. What does a 1911, or any gun, have to do with the Bible?

If a round is chambered in a 1911 the hammer is going to be to the rear. The gun isn't going to fire itself. The safety is a physical handgrip with the intention of pulling the trigger.

well that's no surprise given that you're an ignoramus

A pic with a gun resting on a Bible with a quote about Christianity being shunned and warning of the rise of socialism... Is this satire or purposefully a bad cliche?

Wait, I thought I was the one who said it. Are we not going to pore through my post history to find where I was super mean to Yahweh?

Too bad he skipped over the first verse:
quote:
Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
