Don’t let the fire burn out or your judgment on this offense be overturned, LSU needs him

LSU running the spread with this guy, Peter Parrish or Taulia throwing dimes to Justin jefferson, Chase, and marshall... could be scary to have an offense that could score on Bama - Aranda would appreciate it

We know. I hope we go after him.

Coach O will never let this happen, ever! There is a zero chance he replaces SE. He would have to step down for this to have a slight chance of happening and I'd be shocked if SE steps down or retires.
I will say that our offense being ranked up in the 100's is a complete fricking joke!

If Orgeron truly is all for LSU, and wants the best for the program, as the head coach he needs to demote Ensminger to TE coach or some offensive assistant analyst or something, don’t have to fire him.
Go get Kendal briles

Look I want that badly but do you know the black eye that would be to him and LSU? 3 OC's in 3 years and admitting that he made yet another mistake in hiring an OC?
But like you said if he truly loves this state and LSU which I know he does then he just needs to take this lump and make it happen. Hell, maybe the higher ups might force him to make it! It's not like Lord Saban didn't do pretty much the same in replacing OC's.

People who want him will continue to advocate to bring him in.
People who think it's simple talent will continue to advocate to keep SE.
If LSU continues to struggle, the movement to remove SE will grow.
IF LSU has a big offensive explosion...or even 300 yards of offense and 30+ pts against Ark and Rice, the SE supporters will come out saying told you so.
Change needs to be made regardless of the remaining games. This far in, proof is in the pudding! I don't need to see anything against the worst team in NCAA RICE or an Arkansas team that isn't playing for a damn thing. Whatever happens against TAM and bowl game will not change my mind.

The black eye was 29-0
That’s more embarrassing that purely changing OC’s just because things didn’t work out

LSU needs offensive lineman first. Briles ain't gonna do shite with a shitty offensive line.

You’re a fool if you think Bama players are that much better than LSU players. LSU offensive line is not great, but it’s not terrible.
It’s the offensive scheme developed by Ensminger
If you don’t have the talent to hold blocks very long than you have to adjust with scheme, up tempo offense, quick passes... ie Briles stuff at Baylor
You’re also an idiot if you don’t think those high powered offenses Baylor use to run with Briles wouldn’t have put up points on Bama, and I know Baylor O-line was never as good as LSU’s

Why is it year after year there is this feeling that LSU could explode on offense, with the right guy at the helm, but it never happens?

I don't think that's the case. If this offense was just Top 50, the team would be exponentially better. That's not too much to ask for an upper tier program like LSU.

Nick Saban has had 5 OC's in the past 3 years.
Nobody cares if it works.

Why didn't you add the part when I said that and for the record I completely agree with you! But you know what the biggest difference is with that? Saban is winning, that goes a long long way!

It's a mindset issue.
LSU always seems to tell their QB: Don't throw into coverage, don't take a sack, don't throw an interception...
Not, "complete passes, let 'er rip, take some shots,' etc.
LSU can win 9-10 games a year by simply running the ball, playing defense and winning field position. Unfortunantely, it takes more than that to beat Alabama or other elite programs.
You can beat Georgia by 20 points when you win the turnover battle 4-0. You lose to Florida when it's 0-0 or 0-1, however.
Ed O / LSU needs to fundamentally change their approach to offensive football. Get away from the Les Miles / Charles McClendon model of "just run the ball" and head towards a more dynamic "score as much as you can" mindset.

At LSU Sabsn had four DCs in three years.
He isn't afraid to make a change until he gets it right.
We almost have to change OCs, we need some flash to spark recruiting.

Remember this is the good ole boy club where you protect the coaches/friends you hire. It's always been that way and O showed us he follows that method. He will get "Les Miled" if he doesn't change his opinion.

I agree but it just always seems many other schools can throw on anyone. We seem to have always been able to run the football but lack any elite passing game sans Mett/OBJ/Juice

It will be better in 2019. This season OL injuries and losing Ingram hurt a lot. Also, CEH and Brossette are serviceable, but not upper tier RBs. Next season we add Kardell Thomas who is an instant starter at OG and Hines likely takes the other OG spot. He's going to be very good as a soph. Tyrion Davis is a big powerful RB at 6'1 230 (#6 RB) and that combo gives us the inside power run game we lacked this year. We will likely add a second either elite or very good RB. Consensus is either Emery or Cain.
We should be a much better offense simply from an OL and RB talent standpoint. It puts us somewhat back where we were with Les. We will have the talent to beat most teams, but it will require better gameplanning to beat the elite teams/defenses and based on what we've seen this season we don't have the right guy calling the shots on offense to make that happen.

I think he could prevent the black eye if SE stepped down 'voluntarily'. Internally it would be O telling him he's being replaced, but to the outside world it would look like SE just got tired of being OC.
