Steve McNair... Who really killed him?

The JBR thread reminded me I had listened to an episode of this true-crime podcast about Steve McNair's death. Now they have 4 episodes out with at least one more coming next week.
Really makes you think that the young girl he was dating did not kill him, but there are multiple people with means and motives the cops barely looked at who could have done it.

For some reason I remember this, but I remember being in Orange Beach when I heard that he was killed.
If I recall, he was shot by his girlfriend and then she shot herself right?

If there is some conspiracy around this, I don't really care, but I seriously doubt there was some big elaborate cover-up.
We are talking about a retired NFL player and some girl.. Not a FBI agent and a Russian undercover agent.

They actually address how little effort the cops put into it all.
So whatever the government tells you is the gospel truth.

It's been really good. The guy doing the investigating on his own does sound like a fame seeker but it also sounds crazy that a jilted mistress would shoot him in his temple, then the other temple, then twice to the chest. That's very very excessive for a crime of passion. The whole cut his dick off angle seems more BS because the mortuary people would've known about that too.

Man such a tragedy.. i knew steve, and played softball with him a few weekends a year. Very good family, sweet mother. And steve was always more than nice to everyone he met. I had just played in his annual softball tourny the mccnair classic the weekend before he died. I was in Tennessee on vacation when I got the call to turn on Sports Center. Just a surreal moment, ill never forget.

You don't need an elaborate coverup for this.
It could simply be a case of the investigating cops being lazy and taking an easy way out for their report.
It's not like it's a rare thing for cops to frick up and let off a real killer that way.
