RA’d to move to book board. You’ve over exceeded your OT limit.

Orson Scott Card. The first book of his Ender's Game series (which is the most popular and had the terrible film adaptation) pales in comparison to the two or three books that follow imho. I think there are 12 books or something like that but the first couple were the ones that really stuck out to me.

Olaf Stapledon. Arthur C Clark considered Stapledon's The Starmaker to be one of the best science fiction novels ever written.
Read a lot of Asimov. Probably most if not all of his fiction novels and a lot of his short stories. Herbert's Dune series is a favorite of mine.
Etc. Etc.

As a kid my Mom read kid versions of Jules Vernes. So he will always be my favorite.
Daniel Suarez in present day.
No one touches Suarez when at his beat. DAEMON is near perfect for a techno-thriller.

Haven't read fiction in many years but when I did Anne McCaffrey was probably the closest thing I had to a favorite. Loved the Pern books.
