You can have the new OC use the same terminology if you're worried about continuity.

So like, a running play would still be called a running play?

I don't mind switching until you find a good one. The problem is I don't see Aranda staying much longer. I think he'll be harder to replace than finding a good OC.

Aranda is a once in a generation type DC.

I'm all for O being head coach, but not if it means losing Aranda - I'd rather move Aranda into that position just to keep him with the team.

ETA: I kinda fell off topic there - point is, all this OC searching is wasting Aranda's time here, basically.

I'd hope E's offense is a tad more complicated than that.

You can when you dont do a proper coaching search and you hire a buddy over talent.

The problem is the person doing the hiring has to admit to the mistake. Orgeron tied his wagon to Ensminger.

Why is it OK to fire the OC that gave you the #76 offense in year 1 but the Coordinator who has a 104th ranked offense out of 129 is off limits?

Where is the bar or is this all about Orgeron? frick LSU

This was the whole problem with hiring o as HC and trying to surround him with great coordinators. They aren’t that easy to find, and harder to keep.

I agree switching OC’s again could be a setback. But we could transition by bringing in a new OC/position coach and E transition back to TE with the understanding he will relinquish OC duties the following year. I think E loves LSU and would humbly accept a change is good for the future of the program and willingly cooperate. O has to accept the fact that we can’t win NC’s with the 104th ranked offense.

Because it don't matter who you throw with the greatest head coach in CFB history, they are gonna succeed because of him

Or maybe it's also easy to attract top talent to a place that has proven to be a pretty good stepping stone

The presser demonstrates O will not concede his experiment failed.

It is time for Alleva to force his hand the evidence is in.

If Skip had the balls to interfere with Nick then Joe can man up and demand changes.

As it has been pointed out numerous times Saban does it therefore we should expect change in the off season.

I agree with you, but he's a defensive-minded coach though. He's not fully invested into offensive schemes. If it were up to him, they would run 50+ times a game

Nope. You can Switch them out every year and not miss a beat and have great offenses.
