I'm more technically oriented. IT would honestly be a better fit. Many companies could use an IT guy.
The issue is that alot of corporations have basically pushed IT to third parties (ie India, H1B visas). I don't think that will shift in a major way, despite the new POTUS pushing pro American policies.
An accountant cant be as easily replaced. The issue lies in the CPA. Without it, the better jobs will be harder to land.

Then get the CPA. Yes it is hard; but it is achievable. Take a review course, study arse off. Will pass test.

IT and information systems aren't the same thing. One is compiling, warehousing, and manipulating data. The other is telling Steve in procurement to restart his computer when word doesn't work.
