I get your psyop for yourself, but your reasoning in your OP is weak.

Erick Erickson is HHTM's spirit animal. Very sad.

A few things to consider
1) over the last 100 years, the average seat loss by the party in power has been 30. Some even “great” presidents such as FDR saw 70(!) seats gone.
2) Hillary Clinton, as bad as she face planted on election night 2016, won A TON of Romney districts. These voters aren’t magically changing
3) I still think too many trump voters are not taking it as seriously as key dem groups
There are simply too many variables that polls can't predict.
- Turnout is historic in a really race changing way.
- Demographics and their voting habits could be shifting. We have really no way to know.
- Polls make educated guesses based on a number of factors which must remain relatively constant from election to election. If those factors are off, the polls are garbage.
We could see crazy shite this election, anything from the GOP actually picking seats UP in the house, to a 50-60 seat wave from the democrats and blue control of the senate. Anyone who says they are sure one way or the other is fricking lying. No one knows what's going to happen.

I've been saying this for weeks now. This election is about being pro Trump or anti Trump. And the Dims are much more motivated than 2016. They're pissing themselves with anger. I got a handwritten letter from a "concerned mom in Colorado" urging me to vote Dim.
I have no idea who the hell this person is or how they got my name.
They're going full bore to take the House.

I do not feel good about the election going the way I want

Over the last 100 years. "Nah, I don't like what the Republicans are doing, I'm going to vote Democrat. Nah, I don't like what the Democrats are doing, I'm going to vote Republican.
What is the definition of insanity again?
