Slidell should win. That will be all.

My upset alert picks for 5A

St. Amant over Cpt. Shreve (not really an upset but lower seed)
Central-BR over Alexandria
Hahnville over Walker (I will be at this game)
Landry-Walker over Barbe

In a 32 team bracket, #1 beats #32 and #16 beats #17. It is a given that #1 would then host #16 in the next round.

But if #17 beats #16, is it still set up such that #1 would travel to #17 in the next round?

First round and semifinals, the higher seed is guaranteed to be at home. The only 2 rounds they might have to travel is the 2nd or 3rd. So you get 16/17 and 8/9 games that if 17 and/or 9 win the #1 seed has to travel the next week.

If no upsets occur, the higher seed is home throughout.

That's why I think CS wins and WM is at home the entire playoffs. That's a LONG trip from St. Amant to Shreveport. Ruston isn't losing to ASH and the semifinals are guaranteed at home should they make it that far.

Did not realize that about St. Amant. I still think they have a shot to pull it off.

Haughton won a bunch of close games. So I'll add Fontainebleau to my list of close games/upsets

Thank you, good sir.

For future reference, where exactly did you find this? I used my considerable Google skills and landed in some places that had LHSAA stuff, but I never found this.
