I'll go ahead and call it.
This is the worst Raider team in over a decade, which is saying something.
I cannot think of a season when the expectations and results were this different. Maybe 2003, when the team went from a Superbowl loss to 4-12?
From 12-4 to 6-10 to 1-15... sheesh.

Does it matter?
This is going to almost guarantee Nick Bosa.
If you traded Mack for two firsts and end up with 5 years of Bosa on a rookie deal to build around, hard to argue that isn't better than giving Mack 23.5m a year.
If you're gonna be bad, don't frick around and win like 6 or 7 games and frick your draft pick, just tank.

The NFL is weird.
It takes no time to go from extremely bad to extremely good, and likewise.
Take Oakland from 2016-present.
Take Denver from 2015-present.
Denver has now gone from Super Bowl champs, to 9 wins, to 5 wins, and they are now sitting at 3-5.
