Keep hearings rumors that Jaray could be moved to slot. He was MVP of the tiger bowl, never heard of it. Scrimmage during their off week against Bama. Four catches for 168 yards and 3 TDS. His separation is back like it was before injury. Was talking about taking a redshirt but he is opening eyes now.

Who was throwing to him?

ETA Reason I ask is because the one thing that Burrow has consistently missed on is the deep ball.

Can’t he play in four games and still red shirt or is that the first four games? I’m not clear on that new rule.

I had never heard of the tigerbowl, someone told me it was like a scrimmage during their off week.

Tiger Bowl is an off week scrimmage for redshirts and players not seeing much game action. Starters/team captains “coach” the younger guys and call the plays. It gives the younger guys a chance to show their stuff and it’s generally a good time for the team.

Jaray Jenkins was getting a lot of comparisons to DJ Chark.

Yep, people need to keep things perspective here. IT's not the 1s and 2s really playing each other. IT's the guys we havent seen most all season getting their chance to really go at it with the starters "coaching" them and whatnot. It's primarily a ton of walk ons playing and rarely used scholarship players.

I don't think he's gonna play this game because they wouldn't be getting Jontre Kirklin ready

FYI Giles was the MVP last year and killed it in the Tiger Bowl.

I don't think Bama is the game to throw him out there for his first SEC game experience. That will be a physical game and I don't think you risk a mistake or turnover by him.

for a guy in the trenches, QB, maybe even RB. But for a WR I disagree.

Bama (and other teams) for years have been able to scheme against us in part because of our predictability with personnel packages in relation to formation and then the play.

Showing them new personnel will either make them go to base or, maybe, we get a mismatch.
