Landowners along border being warned by Border Patrol. Militias are organizing

Border Patrol warns Texas landowners about ‘possible armed civilians’ in area due to caravan:
The U.S. Border Patrol this week reportedly told Texas landowners along the U.S.-Mexico border to prepare for a possible influx of "armed civilians" on their property as the migrant caravan moves closer to the U.S., a report said.
The Associated Press reported that these civilians say they intend to support the National Guard and Border Patrol to prevent the illegal migrants from crossing into the U.S.
But some see the move as a negative, arguing that the armed civilians' presence would add even more tension should there be a confrontation.
Three activists told the AP they were going to the border or organizing others, and groups on Facebook have posted warnings about the caravan. One said it was “imperative that we have boots on the ground.” Another wrote: “WAR! SECURE THE BORDER NOW!”
Shannon McGauley, president of the Texas Minuteman militia, told the AP that he already has members at three points of the state's border and expects 25 to 100 more people to arrive in the coming days.
Militia members and volunteers patrolling the border is a practice that has been in place for decades. Usually, the civilians patrol the border and look out for illegal border crossers. Once they spot a trespasser, the civilians usually contact the Border Patrol to apprehend them. (The Border Patrol is the law enforcement branch of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.)
What do you think

Too bad we don’t have a wall.

Resisting armed invasion is not only a citizen right but a duty.

This is one of your civic duties as an American. In times of invasion it is only responsible we arm ourselves and form militias to protect our country. If the CBP and/or DoD will not protect our country it is in the collective right of self defense that civilians rise to arms.

If it was actually your property, what would you do? Just for a moment, pretend it's your land....

Remember when the talking point was that a wall was stupid because 99% of illegals don’t cross over the border. They fly in or boat in then just overstay their visa.
Seems like a wall would do wonders against thousands of aliens like this.

I doubt any of them are unhappy about this. They're probably providing coffee and donuts.

If it was my land, the militia would get free lemonade from my wife.

Anybody know what "Wolverines!" is in Spanish?

There is no scenario where a U.S. citizen “needs” an “assault rifle”.

frick that shite. If they aren’t welcomed on someone’s private property they shouldn’t be allowed to parade around on it.

I'd defend it. If the invaders forced their hand by shooting at me first, I would empty my gun on them. Wouldn't you? For those unarmed that come onto my land, I would be well schooled on the law of that land on what choices I had to stop them from going any further.
I'm not going to shoot an unarmed person first and ask questions later if that is what you want to know.

As someone who lived on the border for 2 years, I can tell you the landowners will not welcome armed militia on their property. They don't like the illegals but they HATE militia type groups.

I agree... So, you are saying the illegals should not cross on private property because "they aren't welcomed"?

Leave it to the AP to present this as a negative when, in fact, most ranchers and landowners are appreciative of what help they receive in thwarting the crossing of illegals.
When will the AP report on the butchered cattle and horses? The break-ins to private property? The tapped wells, the wild fires, the drug mules, the Middle Eastern and Asian illegals mixed-in, etc., etc., etc.
Landowners and ranchers along those borders were long ago abandoned by their government.
