Takeaways:
-Tua has been excellent, but several other QB's have had success vs. the same defenses.
-Tua's completion %'s are very good, but he stands out more in Yds/Att and TD/INT ratio.
-The good news is LSU's defense has the SEC's best Yds/Att since 2013, and the best TD/INT ratio since 2012.

The stats are skewed because the other QBs played the whole game.

This is a pretty eye-opening graphic. He has been outstanding, but literally every other QB that has played those teams have been just as good and better in a few instances.

This hurts the other QB in yards per pass and completion % and only could hurt Tua in yards

You can see when he hurt his knee. His Completion % dropped severely. He hasn't been nearly as accurate as he was before.

Anyone else notice that Burrow and Tua’s lines Are almost identical against the one common opponent?

Also noticeable is the fact that Franks v Tenn only completed 50% of his passes but his yards per ATTEMPT were still up at almost 10, just one yard behind Tua.

Tua played basically a half of football against Ole Miss.

I just speculating, it's likely due to YAC. It's receivers catching high percentage throws and the defense missing one or two tackles the the WRs making nice gains.

Lol

I don't think you understand percentages and averages. If anything, they're skewed in his favor because of less attempts.

I'm telling y'all...eliminate the big "chunk plays". Bama has not been in a game where they have had to drive 10-12 plays in order to score. I'm not saying that they can't, I'm just saying that they have not been in a situation where they've had to. There's no guarantee that they'll execute in 3rd and long.

Another interesting analysis would be to compare Burrow against other good QBs who have faced OUR SEC opponents. I would also include Miami. I am actually working or I would do this one myself. Ole Miss is one thing, but what about AU, UGA, MSU and UF. All very good to great defenses.

wtf does that have to do with completion %?

Yes but the percentages and per attempt are the same. Not total yards.

Absolutely nothing, unless you're retarded.

Which would help his completion % as hes throwing less passes. Would also help his yards per attempt as hes getting a few big play touchdowns and then sitting for the rest of the game.

Then compare what those same QBs (Fromm, Franks, Ta'amu and Fitz) did against LSU. All 50% or less completion and Yds/Att cut in half.

Bama hasn't played a good Defense, yet. But they are doing what great teams do, they pound bad teams. Don't be fooled, they are an elite offense, defense is good, not elite like previous years.

LSU keys to victory:
1. Limit explosive plays, bama has lived off this. Force them to drive the length of the field. RZ offense is pedestrian.

2. Field position - Great punts, win TO battle to get short field.

3. Run tempo, not trying to score in under 2 minutes but run tempo after big plays. 1st and 10 and get a run/pass for first down or sets up short yardage.

4. Be aggressive, take shots down the field, bamas d has given up explosive plays. keep being aggressive like UGA game.

5. RZ offense...obvious, SCORE! Need more TDs than FGs.

You're assuming his throws in the first half are an anomaly and he can't replicate them for a full game. Maybe he actually throws better against a beaten defense?
