Or you know, passing an actual budget.
Perhaps the GOP could campaign on funding a border wall?

Is this a troll thread to point out the failure to do these things already? I'm not following, unless I am.

The non power holding party usually focuses on fiscal responsibility while the power holding party focuses on funneling money to the pet projects of their particular bases.

I thought it would be fun to list all the things the GOP didn’t do while controlling the House that it will say it will do if it is given the House again.
Anybody want to predict how long it takes a GOP candidate to complain about the Dems not passing an annual budget?

We should adopt Rand Paul's penny plan. Unfortunately, a majority in both parties don't care about the debt/deficit.

You mistake voting GOPe for what they have said they would do but never have with voting GOP to continue the great things Trump has done and forced them to do

They’ll go back for campaigning on healthcare and immigration only to once again assume the House and not do frickING shite.
It’s infuriating that hardly anybody on this board has called out he GOP for not passing immigration legislation.

They can try but no one is believing them anymore.

That isn’t possible unless McConnell scrapped the filibuster on legislation.

Such as repealing Obamacare?
How many times did they try under Obama, 60?
Yet with Republican majorities in the House and Senate and a Republican President, they didn't do it.
Of course, they shouldn't have.
But still it is telling that Republicans cannot keep their word.

Which is more the reason they might lose versus any ‘outrage’ over the caravan, Kavanaugh, or shootings.

No, because it isn't possible right now.
3.4 Trillion in revenues
2.5 trillion in mandatory spending
.6 trillion in defense
.3 trillion in interest on the debt
.7 trillion in non-defense discretionary spending
To balance the budget you would have to cut non-defense discretionary spending by 100%.

Won't happen unfortunately

They already did. The House passed a plan that would shave hundreds of billions from future medicaid spending. But for small handful of Republican Senators it would have passed.
Of course EVERY Democrat in both chambers opposed it. Mostly so trolls like you could just make the post you just made.

Meh, there is always an excuse for why the GOP can’t get it done, isn’t there?

Trump had every opportunity to stop the spending bill last year, yet he signed it anyway.

A budget....first time in 10 yrs.

The probably will. The GOP's m.o. is to destroy the budget when they're in power, then whine about a balanced budget when they're out of power.
