And if we legally can’t, then why isn’t congress in session right now writing laws that allow us to?

Or granting the president the power he needs to secure the border and repell the horde?

What happened to the last horde? Are they awaiting a hearing to be deported? They have overrun our ability to hold hearings. Pure Cloward and Piven but the Republicans should be working to counter this before the mob arrives.

Thought?

Absolutely, the only country required to accept them is Guatemala if they wish to claim refuge status.

We are not required to even let them apply.

As a signatory country to the Convention, we would be required to process their request for asylum ... if they manage to enter the country. This why we do not let them enter.

Some argue that we do not have even that obligation because we were not the first foreign country they entered. These people are wrong, according to about 99% of iimmigration lawyers.

As an historical matter, something like 80-90% of asylum requests have been denied. In this group, I would not be surprised if the denial ratio were not higher. This is clearly more a matter of protest for some and seeking economic opportunity for others. I doubt that there are many valid asylum-seekers in the group.

"No jobs" is not a qualification for amnesty.

Seeking asylum is crossing a border. Crossing multiple borders is not. It's an invasion.

The dead ex terrorist is far more important than a bunch of disease ridden, terrorist, hundreds of of pregnant women, drug carrying...and who knows what else is.

This never happens again.

if they are looking for amnesty they should have applied for it in Mexico, the first Country they came too, if they pass thru Mexico and to the USA they are an invasion.
