Yup another Neck thread

It’s not about being soft or a snowflake. It’s about being morally responsible. The 80s were badass. Hardly anyone was offended. But this kind of crap would’ve been on late night rated R tv, not chanted at a public football game. People knew better. I’m not saying it never happened, but most people back then had common sense, way more respect, and knew better. We’re wondering why this world is going to shite and most kids have zero respect. It’s because they’re allowed to get away with anything. It’s because we get more and more trashy every day, and it’s “no big deal” or “quit being a snowflake” blah blah blah. Most will grow out of the STTDB phase and look back and feel like a dumbass hopefully. With all that said, all of you who downvote this can STTDB.

Completely agree! Such vile behavior should not be tolerated during ANY LSU sporting event. We're simply better than that. As you mentioned, "they" will eventually grow out of it and look back one day and realize just how ignorant and classless they really were!!

The more people like you complain about it, the more the kids are going to do it. This would have died off by now if LSU had just let it. Instead they made it seem edgy. Naturally, college kids are going to do what they think is edgy.

Words are just words. The more the chant is discussed, the more it is empowered.
I believe most take issue with their children getting exposed to it and the parent probably has to explain it to them. I understand that is a situation most don’t want to be put in, but it is our job as parents to teach our children right from wrong.
We cannot completely control the actions of others but we can limit the influence that they have on our kids. Good parenting can turn situations like these into valuable lessons.
Didn’t mean to rant there but oh well.
