What did Margaret Thatcher do right in UK that female American politicians are not?

Margaret Thatcher was the first female British prime minister from 1979 to 1990. She was very conservative, a member and one of the post-Churchill Conservative Party Leaders.
She was elected in 1979, 1983, 1987 before being forced out in 1990 before she was forced to call a snap election to figure whether her government should continue in power in the 1990s before the Clinton-centrist-style Tony Blair and the "New (NuLabor) came into power in the 1990s and 2000s.
What did Thatcher do right that Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, etc. are doing wrong?

I love Maggie Thatcher and her legacy, but anyone who has spent an extensive amount of time in England picks up on the sentiment that she isn't well liked there at all.
Not sure why, but it seems like in hindsight the people of the UK just don't seem to have liked her politics.
Even though the country got better under her rule.

She was a leader first and a woman second.

She didn't pander the lightweights, male or female, and didn't suffer fools

Like I said, I think she was an incredible force for good in the UK, but something happened that sullied her legacy. Not sure what.

She became a relic. That's all. The 80's decade changed at the end. It was time for her to go.
That's no disrespect to what a stalwart she was in defending western life and liberty along with Ronald Reagan against the leftist bloc that had captured much of the world.

You hang out with the wrong Limeys. The Brits I know are more Reagan-Thatcherist than I am.

She would be a John McCain in America. Not a fan.

Maybe the bold part has something to do with it.

She ruled without putting her gender first.

I love her. She was to Churchill as Reagan was to FDR..... all four leaders in place, even with their faults, at the right time when needed most. Just like Trump is here now.... thank God for all of them.
Maggie highlights.

1990...fighting against what would be globalist EU

UK Miners Strike 1984-1985
The Tories under Thatcher almost single-handedly obliterated the domestic coal industry, a loss that is still reflected in the poorest parts of the rural UK.
Obviously, it wasn't just the government at fault for how badly the strike was handled, the NUM was literally attempting to sabotage the domestic energy supply in the midst of the Cold War - Thatcher was right to call it a threat to national security and its participants "the enemy within".
