All I want is to change how we call balls and strikes. Its completely and totally illogical that we still allow humans to do so when we have technology that can do so much more accurately and would be incredibly easy to implement without removing the need for actual human umpires to make every single other call that comes up during the games

i swear to god, 40 years from now when this change has been made, people will look back on this and be completely dumbfounded as to why we played the game this way

According to rule 2.00 of the Major League Baseball rule book, a strike zone is defined as "that area over home plate the upper limit of which is a horizontal line at the midpoint between the top of the shoulders and the top of the uniform pants, and the lower level is a line at the hollow beneath the kneecap"

Okay, put that into a computer.

Computers only tell us what we want them to say. We input the data.

They'd be calling for Dave on every pitch. Error; Error.
