Not everyone has the time to change

But if they’re finished with surgeries

Yes change is a must

People don't get that in a lot of places unless you work in the OR, or want to change clothes in a public restroom there is no place to change clothes, and often no place to keep your street clothes. Also, many people work at multiple hospitals with no time to change to street clothes when going from one to another.

I am confused. Now you are saying that they do look special. Why do you resent that?

You must be mistaken. I could wear scrubs to every social event in my life. Those that do certainly do look special.

If they are device reps and get off the plane get a car and head for a hospital OR, where are they supposed to change?

So you want a guy sitting in a plane seat to then go directly to be in your sterile environment of operation

Lunch ladies and janitors used to wear scrubs when I was in school. Daycare workers also. I'm sure there are any many other random jobs that do it too.

Ok. Maybe all of y’all are right. But I appreciate that she will meet me right after her work given vastly different schedules. She’s not trying to make a a statement, just trying to please me. I know if she goes home to change then there will the makup, accessories and whatnot and then the time is gone.

I must be different than most. I had two people sitting next to me at a bar with scrubs on (granted they may be doing shite work not near any patient) but it being a norm to have hospital gear in a bar setting is not right

Same with my wife. She'll wear hers if we're meeting right after work for dinner or something or to stop at the grocery store but anything more than that and she'll come home and change.

There are bars and restaurants in many cities that cater to night shift workers (mainly hospital staff). I would frequently head down for drinks and/or breakfast at 7:30am donned in scrubs with my crew.

My neighbor mows in his scrubs, he's a medical device salesman. I think he wants people to think he's a doctor.
