I mean when Joe finally has a little time to throw most of the WR's are never open. I mean not all the teams we play have A+ plus Db's correct? So this tells me they are having issues getting open. This can be helped with a great Wr guru correct? When the Wr's finally do get open most of the time they have a hard time catching it. Another thing a top Wr coach could help correct? I really thought this hire would help joseph's lack of coaching wr's but so far not impressed. Been a frustrating year watch ball after ball being dropped.

yea he or mickey haven't earned their money this year.

im no guru, but I would maybe experiment with personnel changes. also, I would consider playing the talented freshmen who appear more explosive and talented. but that's just 'lil 'ol me watching with the naked eye. im just a fan. what do I know?

Catching the ball when you are open is 100 percent on the player not the coach. The fact people try and put this on the coaches is so dumb.

Then sit these people down and play the freshmen. The product on the field is the responsibility of the coaches.

This I agree with.

Kind of what Lunchbox said. Yeah, one time dropping the ball is not on the coaches. Multiple times dropping the ball though? Get their arse off of the field and try something different. I feel like O doesn't do enough experimenting or tinkering with his lineups. That's the only way you're really going to figure out how shite works and chemistry meshes on the field.
Just a little more tinkering in different situations, it also throws the other teams for a loop when they don't know what's coming.

Receivers were open all day! Problem was they dropped balls at crucial times, Joe had pressure all day long! Everyone has a different opinion but that's what I observed. By the way that 26 yard reception by Foster was a thing of beauty but the motion call on OL was dumb

And since they are well rested (from lack of reps) then they can spend time on the Juggs machine. 50 reps for every drop.
Drops are usually a mental error. If we were seeing drops as DBs contest or in a small window, it's one thing. Jefferson's through the hands miss was just that, a miss, leaping, being legally roughed a little bit. Not a drop. But these uncontested one's, those are drops... and mental. Player has to get his mind right through repetitive reps to get right. Why repetitive reps? Not for punishment, but to take thinking out of it and make it routine.

We actually didn’t have a lot of drops that game. They stand out because the drops happened at a crucial time when we were trying to drive and win the game. Players trying to make a move before they caught the ball etc.

Remember how everyone hated when les hired his buddies? This is a similar situation.

Yup, This is also why im not a fan of not running the full offense at the beginning of the year.
People were saying, well you dont want to show auburn/bama/georgia/etc. to much of the offense so they can gameplan.
We dont even know IF we can run the offense, who care about showing it.

Hard to get open when you have 7 guys trying to cover 3. The Oline is so terrible that you have to keep the RB and TE in to block. Florida was only rushing 4 and they still couldn’t hold up. Occasionally they did send and extra rusher.

That's what 3 step drops and quick routes are for. Again, coaching.

This is so true , I remember an article that talked about how Odel and Jarvis stayed hours after practice catching balls from the jug machine on high power . Just competing with each other on one handed catches as well . They have to want to get better .

You guys are off your rockers. If you don't see the improvement in the receiving corps this year then you're just blind. Receivers still have a lot of room for improvement, but they have made huge strides from where they were last season. Rome wasn't built in a day.

You people are so damn dumb. Watch the game in slow nation because you don't know what the frick you saw apparently. These same WRs were shite last year. Much better this year.
It wasn't their catching or route running, it was their blocking that sucked arse. I agree that some of these guys should sit. Why didn't we get the new TE involved either. Then when we did catch the ball there was a flag thrown.
It was just a bad game for this team. It wasn't the offense or defense. It was both. The players need to step the frick up and beat the man in front of him. If there is any fault in our coaches and HC, it's instilling that killer instinct into this team. I just don't see it and haven't seen it all year except for moments.
One side of the ball or the other has a bad game or quarter. They need to play together as a team and have that dominating mentality. Beat the man in front of you at all cost and be smart about it. Stop rushing things and let those big moments come to you. They just need to focus man. If they make a mistake then get the better of the next play. Stop hanging your head and buck up.

Well to be fair, Mickey hasn’t earned his money here since he was hired.

While there has been improvement, they do need to improve on catching with hands in traffic. Many times I’ve noticed “gator arming” and not getting arms extended.
