No reason to be so pessimistic

I am often as negative as they come when it comes to LSU football, but I'm not sure what y'all expected vs Florida. We were a 1 point favorite in a very hostile SEC environment. It was the biggest game of the year for them so far and you should have known they wouldn't just be like "Oh we're rebuilding this year they can have the win this time." A 1 point favorite implies we has a 53% chance at winning according to vegas. Have you ever lost a hand of Blackjack? About the same odds as Florida winning.
So we go out, maybe make some mistakes we shouldn't have, and barely lose, and we go from "Man this is so awesome being a contender now" posts to "we're going 7-5" and "I knew we weren't that good this year" Haha, what the frick? We were a 1 point favorite. You couldn't have said that before the game? If we play that game 1000 times we probably win it 550 times. The cookie crumbled the wrong way. Yes, we have problems to fix but jesus we aren't some atrocious 7-5 football team. Good grief this place is unforgiving.

It's easy to make statements like this if you generally associate the whole of the fanbase with the more emotionally unstable people on here. Every win = WE GOING TO THE SHIP. Every loss = FIRE EVERYONE.
Most people have simply been cautiously optimistic through the first 5 games. I've felt all along that we'd probably end up 8-4 or 9-3 and I still feel that way. That said, I thought Auburn would be one of our losses to this point, so what do I know? Either way, it'll be an interesting next few weeks.

I agree with Cool.....we will be home and play much better this week......time for Dave Aranda to earn that ????????....in spite of how bad we played we were in it till the end...who knows if our receivers could actually catch.......remember...Champions make plays

Damn that crumbly cookie!! I don't even get PO'd anymore as my expectations have greatly diminished over the past few seasons. And that 7-5 projection may occur. When the team starts playing with some focus and consistency, ie improvement in all areas and consistently beating the man in front of them, I'll develop some expectations higher than let's just get through this. It's a daunting schedule, half assed isn't going to cut it in blocking, tackling, taking middle of games off, letting receivers run free for long gains, etc.

O just needs a few more years to get rid of all those trash Les Miles players, sure LSU will have to suffer through some 8 win or 9 win seasons but once he has his players look out, LSU will win 10 games

I'm no Cherri-O by any means, and still not 100% board on the hire, and also think "I told ya so!" posters from the O camp are equally as annoying with a whole lot of football left to be played, but get a fricking grip, negative nancy. Realistically we're looking at 8-4 to 9-3 regular season. Given that the pundits had us losing 6 games, we will exceed the experts predictions.
It doesn't feel like we're reversing the trend of mediocrity and stale offenses.

This isn't true. The people that were unnecessarily vicious or irrational about O and crew were called out and rightfully so. Nobody thought that this game would be a gimme.
