Looking for all-inclusive Costa Rica. 3 couples adults only. Plan on going last week of July 2019. Any thoughts, opinions and / or recommendations? What part / where? Thanks

We just got back from a wedding this past July in Costa Rica. I will tell you this first, July is in there "Rainy Season". It's kind of like South Louisiana during the summer. You may get a shower, you may not.
We stayed at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort . It was beautiful, but as most will say it is very "country club esque". You won't get the real feel for Costa Rica. We didn't have much time to do tourist activities, but we still had a blast. If I were you I'd check out the Four Season's. It's in the same area, but they have a better all inclusive.

we stayed at Riu Palace Guanacaste. Not the plain Rui. Booked through cheapcaribbean.com super affordable, all inclusive. Went on excursions most days to white water rafting, zip lining by resort at Diamante, atv tour from behind the resort. Level 3-4 white water rafting was furthest away, but worth the drive of about 1.5 hours. Excellent restaurants in the resort as well as some good buffets also.

its the driest time of the rainy season. im having a destination wedding/reception at the end of july and beginning of august at el mangroove. its about 15-20 min from the liberia airport. there will be 60-70 of us there. we wanted a more intimate/boutique feel than some of other other larger properties. the all inclusive rate is $120/day per person and includes top shelf booze. which i didn't think was bad at all.

frick all-inclusive. Rent a large SUV and drive to Montezuma as a first stop. Tamarindo > Arenal > Puerto Viejo on the carribean side.
Or just go to Manuel Antonio after Montezuma if you don't want to see the Caribbean.
Exploring the peninsula around Montezuma is s few days, or two if you're going to the Caribbean, its shockingly beautiful. The waterfalls west of town, Cabo Blanco hike, Malpais...you'll find food and drink, and everywhere's a beach outside of Arenal.
See the country

Gotta agree with this. CR is safe and not hard to get around. There's so many great varying areas that you can easily see in one trip. Manuel Antonio to Arenal are so different and easily doable in one trip.

Yeah - even if you don’t drive, places like the Andaz isolate you from Costa Rica. And I say this having honeymooned at the Four Seasons which is next door to the Andaz. Nice resorts that feel totally American.
